Master the fundamentals that shape every project.
In this focused two-hour session, you learn to read and draft patterns with precision, then translate them to leather with minimal waste. Béatrice or Amelie guides you through layout strategy, grain direction, hide irregularities and efficient cutting sequences. You practice on sample hides, learning to see what the leather offers and what it demands. This workshop stands alone or prepares you for Level 1; either way, you leave with a method that respects both material and craft.

What Students & Alums Are Saying
“
Studying here has been an extraordinary experience. Beatrice Amblard teaches leatherworking with the same discipline, precision, and excellence she honed during her years at Hermès. The progressive curriculum is demanding and incredibly rewarding. I'm currently in Level 3 and feel privileged to be learning how the finest bags in the world are truly made.

Bea and Amelie have created a beautifully designed studio and a thoughtful approach to teaching leathercraft. I love coming here and appreciate the care that goes into how the studio and classes are run.
