Shipping policy
Thank you for choosing Heirloom Leathercraft. We're committed to getting your leather goods, tools, and supplies to you safely and efficiently.
Shipping Locations
We currently ship to addresses within the contiguous United States, Alaska, and Hawaii. International shipping is not available at this time. We cannot ship to PO boxes for certain oversized items such as large leather skins or bulk tool orders.
Processing Time
Orders are typically processed within 1-3 business days (Monday through Friday, excluding holidays). You'll receive a confirmation email once your order ships with tracking information. Please note that special order items (pre-order), custom or made-to-order leather bags and accessories will require additional processing time, and an estimated ship date will be noted in the check out process.
Shipping Methods and Rates
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your order weight, dimensions, and destination. We offer the following options:
USPS Priority Mail (2-3 business days) - Calculated at checkout
Shipping Rates by Product Type
Leather Skins: Due to the weight and size of leather hides, shipping costs vary considerably. Large full hides may incur higher shipping fees.
Tools and Supplies: Most tools and supplies ship via standard rates. Bulk orders or heavy equipment may require freight shipping, which will be quoted separately.
Bags and Accessories: Standard shipping rates apply to our curated collection of finished leather goods.
Custom Orders: Standard shipping rates apply based on weight and size.
Order Tracking
Once your order ships, you'll receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information. You can monitor your package's progress through the carrier's website.
Delivery Issues
Lost or Stolen Packages: We're not responsible for packages marked as delivered by the carrier. Please ensure someone is available to receive your package or consider shipping to a secure location. We recommend filing a claim with the shipping carrier for lost packages.
Damaged Items: If your leather goods arrive damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at info@heirloomleathercraft.com with photos of the damage and original packaging. We'll work with you to file a claim and arrange a replacement or refund.
Incorrect Address: Please ensure your shipping address is correct at checkout. We're not responsible for orders shipped to incorrect addresses provided by the customer. Address changes after shipment may incur additional fees.
Special Considerations for Leather Products
Leather is a natural material that can be affected by extreme temperatures. During very hot or cold weather, we may hold shipments or use expedited methods to ensure your leather arrives in optimal condition. We'll notify you if any special measures are needed.
Customs and Duties
As we currently only ship domestically, customs and duties do not apply.
