Level 1: Foundations

Our classes guide you from your first cut of leather to finishing a portfolio of refined pieces. Each week, the atelier becomes your second home; you learn side by side with Béatrice and Amelie Amblard and a small cohort of peers. The curriculum is sequenced so each piece builds your hand: card case, reinforced notebook cover, billfold wallet, eyeglass case, zip pouch and tray. Along the way, you master the true saddle stitch, develop precise patterning skills and practice edge finishing until your seams and edges read as one clean line. You leave with finished work, a confident workflow and the foundation for dimensional construction.

Pattern making, saddle stitch, edge finishing, and basic assemblies, delivered in a daily cadence for faster muscle‑memory development.

Prerequisites:
• None; this is the first step.

Schedule:
• Multiple formats offered (Daily, Weekly, Evenings, see choices below)
• Daily & Weekly: 12 Sessions, full day. Evening: 48 Sessions, 2 hours each.

• 14 students maximum
